Resources for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Individuals
VideoPhones on campus: The DRC has a VideoPhone located in the DRC Computer Lab, room D217 of the Highland Commons building [map]. The VideoPhone is available 8:30 - 4:30 Monday - Friday (excluding Holidays)
Assistive Listening Devices: These devices are for students who are hard of hearing and have no or minimal sign language communication skills. They may help you hear better and more clearly in larger classrooms, theaters and auditoriums and are designed to reduce noise interference. The Infrared Systems are equipped with earphones or audio-neck loops. The equipment can be loaned to students on a semester basis through the University Teaching Center (UTC). You will need to see your Specialist for an approval and a referral form for the UTC.
