Accommodation Appeal and Review
Any individual who is dissatisfied with a determination by the Disability Resource Center or a department or unit within the University regarding disability or accommodation may request a review of the individuals case by the ADA/504 Compliance Officer prior to filing an internal complaint with the University of Arizonas Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Office.
Neither supervisors, faculty, program sponsors, service units nor unit administrators may deny independently a request for accommodation, but first must consult the Disability Resource Center. If, after consultation, such individuals disagree on whether a proposed accommodation will result in an undue hardship, a fundamental alteration of a program or activity, will harm academic integrity or will create a direct threat, the ADA/504 Compliance Officer in consultation with the University Attorneys Office, will make a final determination.
