The University of Arizona's Track/Road Racing team began in the fall of 1997. Its formation was a direct result of the momentum and interest generated by the elite field of racers who competed in the 10K wheelchair division of Jim Click's Run 'N' Roll. Today the team participates in many nationally prominent road races and track events including: The Jim Click Run 'N' Roll, Gasparilla Distance Classic, Carlsbad 5,000, Bloomsday 12k, Arizona Distance Classic, Desert Challenge, and the Peachtree 10k. The team also competes in the National Track Championships.
Training consists of a combination of road work, roller workouts, and practice at the University's track facility.
