Interpreting and Communication Access Real-Time Reporting (CART)

The Disability Resource Center hires interpreters, and CART reporters to provide services to individuals who are Deaf or hard of hearing. These services are available for all academic needs, meetings, workshops, etc., as well as for any other activities sponsored by the University.  You will meet with a DRC Access Consultant to establish services.  Two Videophones (VP) are available for use at the Disability Resource Center.

All Disability Resource Center Staff interpreters are certified by the National Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) or rated by an Interpreter Quality Assurance System (IQAS). Additionally, the National Court Reporters Association certifies all of the CART reporters. As such, all are professionals who have received rigorous training in interpreting or CART reporting and abide by a strict code of ethics.
