Test Accommodations
As with all reasonable accommodations, students must meet with an Access Consultant to request testing accommodations. The Access Consultant in consultation with students and faculty will determine accommodations based on a review of the disability documentation and an assessment of how the disability intersects with the requirements of each course. If the Access Consultant determines that test modifications are a reasonable accommodation, the appropriate accommodation will be indicated when students self identify to instructors. Students must self identify to their instructors in order to receive testing accommodations. (For more information see Student and Institutional Rights and Responsibilities)
Instructors can provide accommodations themselves within their classroom/academic department or can request that DRC administer their exams with accommodations. The accommodation must be effective regardless of which method is used. Students should inform their Access Consultant immediately if they feel a test accommodation has not been appropriately administered.
After the student has self identified to each instructor, the student can register for each specific exam using DRC Student Link.
