Campus Initiatives

Disability Resources' Technology Access is involved in various campus initiatives that assess and improve access in technology.

Campus Technology Upgrade Program
The Classroom Technology Upgrade (CTU) Program at the University of Arizona is focused on implementing a platform of technologies in campus classrooms that enhance instruction and learning, innovative teaching pedagogies and campus safety.

Online Education Project
The Online Education Project (OEP) was created to improve campus capacity for excellence in teaching and learning within fully online or hybrid course environments.  Funded by the student technology fee, this project will result in a support infrastructure for high quality course development, best practices in fully online and hybrid course instruction, and successful learning practices for students in fully online and hybrid courses.

The University of Arizona is committed to realizing a barrier- free electronic information and technology (EIT) environment. To focus that effort and infuse the priority across the institution, the Chief Information Officer, Office of Institutional Equity and ADA Officer established an EIT program in the fall of 2011. The itAccessibility Program:

  • Promotes the integration of universal usability in the procurement, development and deployment of campus-wide IT resources
  • Provides leadership, resources and recommendations for ensuring accessibility in all of the University’s technology-rich environments
