The intention of Saguaro Spirit is to reframe disability. As a literary magazine, we are not looking for papers written as classroom assignments. We welcome submissions from anyone who is disabled, or anyone who works with or knows someone who is disabled. We are sponsored by the Disability Resource Center at the University of Arizona.
Saguaro Spirit is a web-based magazine that is published twice a year, spring and fall. Submissions for our fall issue must reach us by September 31, and for our spring issue the submission deadline is January 31. There is no charge for submissions, but we are not able to pay at this time. We will consider the following categories:
- Essays
- Fiction
- Poetry –please submit no more than three per issue.
- Artwork
- Interviews
- Movie and book reviews
