University of Arizona Disability Resources is the recipient of the 2012 Student Affairs Impact Award for Outstanding Department. The Impact Award recognizes campus departments that use innovation to make an impact that affects students directly or indirectly, while attempting to create a World Class Student Affairs division by delivering exemplary programs, services, resources and facilities that have a measurable and positive impact on the development and retention of students and contribute to the wellbeing and advancement of our community.
UA DRC sets the standard for campus practices and processes that increase access, participation and success for all students. DRC recognizes that to create a culture on campus that is inclusive and welcoming, we must work directly with students but also with other campus constituents. DRC consistently reevaluates its work in an effort to improve access and success on campus and it is this innovative spirit that will continue to keep DRC on the cutting edge of disability services.
