Tired of Providing Testing Accommodations for your Students?

Proactive strategies for minimizing the need for testing accommodations

A growing number of instructors at the University are recognizing that they design their tests in response to the very real, practical limitations of our campus environment:

  • The classroom is scheduled for another class right after their 50 or 75 minute class ends so students must be done with their exams in that amount of time
  • The class has 50 to 300 students so grading tests other than multiple choice exams is time consuming and impractical.
  • They haven’t had practical training in test design and don’t have the time to create scientifically sound test items.
