UA Webroster and Student Accommodation Information

Disability Resources is pleased to announce that access to information on the accommodations your students with disabilities may use is now available to you directly from your WebRoster site.

Please note that the Disability Resources logo is now located in the upper right corner of each Class Roster page on WebRoster. Clicking on that icon will bring up a list of the students in the class who have asked to be identified to you and a list of the reasonable accommodations they may request.

As always, only disabled students who plan to use accommodations are likely to identify themselves to their instructors. Therefore, there may be other students with disabilities in your course who choose not to identify themselves and whose names, therefore, will not be provided. As additional students identify themselves throughout the semester, their names will be added to the list of DRC students/accommodations.

Additional information:

  • You have no obligation to provide accommodations to any student whose name is not available to you via the link on your Course Roster page.
  • You will be contacted by the student or Disability Resources’ staff if your active participation is required to initiate an accommodation.
  • You may want to send an acknowledgement to students who identify themselves to you via this system.  While this is not required, a proactive outreach to let students know you are interested in assuring their full access to the class is appreciated.

If you have questions on this new identification process, please contact Carol Funckes, Associate Director, at carolf@u.arizona.edu or 621-3274
