Graduation - Disability Access

The university is committed to creating an inclusive and universal experience for commencement and convocation ceremonies. Please review the information below for disability-access information in addition to the Commencement's Parking and Access information. 

Wheelchair Rentals

Please contact one of the following companies to discuss options for wheelchair rentals. 


Commencement Ceremony – Arizona Stadium 

Communication Access (Captioning and ASL Interpreting)

  • Real-time Captioning is provided.

  • ASL Interpreters will be located close to the stage for graduates and in section 1 for guests.

Entrance and Seating 

  • Accessible seating is available in the Arizona Stadium with wheelchair access and seats with fewer stairs.
    • East concourse and Main (North) concourse areas, enter via Gate 2.
    • Dunlap Stadium Club (East concourse), with shaded seating, enter via Gate 4.
    • South Endzone seating, enter via Gate 6.
  • Note:
    • Wheelchair/ADA accessible seating is not available on the West side of Arizona Stadium.
    • Seating for ceremonies is general admission without seat reservations, please plan to arrive early for best seating options.
    • Due to limited capacity, wheelchair users may have one companion/guest accompany them.

Arizona Stadium Parking and drop off locations 

Parking

  • Cherry Ave Garage 
    • Located just north of the Arizona Stadium. 
    • All levels of garage are reserved for disability parking which requires a disability placard/license plate 
    • Access Gate 2 of Arizona Stadium by exiting through the southwest corner of the garage. 
  • 6th street garage
    • Golf cart to Arizona Stadium is available.
  • Stadium Garage 
  • Highland Garage
    • Bus to Arizona Stadium is available from 2nd Street Garage.
  • Main Gate Garage
    • Bus to Arizona Stadium is available from 2nd Street Garage.

Service Animals on Campus

Service animals are permitted in Arizona Stadium. If an animal is not trained to perform specific tasks related to a disability and only provides comfort or emotional support, it will not be permitted. View more guidelines about animals on campus

Contact your convocation coordinator to request ASL Interpreting or Captioning services or to inquire about parking options.

Seating 

  • Seating for ceremonies is general admission without seat reservations, please plan to arrive early for best seating options.
  • Due to limited capacity, wheelchair users may have one companion/guest accompany them.
