Marketing, Communication, and Registration Processes

In your marketing materials, include information about your event's accessibility features, such as where to find accessible parking, entrances, or seating. When providing information about wheelchair access, use the updated disability access symbol.

Include a disability access statement on all marketing materials, online or printed.

Images

If using images of people, include images of disabled people (consider wheelchair-users, those using American Sign Language interpreting or those navigating with a white cane) to let everyone know they are welcome to attend. Do not include images of people helping disabled people. Use the updated disability access symbol to designate accessible features.

PDF Flyers

If you create a PDF flyer for your event, ensure it is accessible to all participants. Consult the UArizona's IT Accessibility website for information on how to create an accessible PDF

Event Websites

If you create a website for your event, ensure it is accessible to all participants. View more information on how to create an accessible website.
