Students who periodically experience an unexpected disability related barrier may seek an accommodation from DRC. All requests are considered on a case-by-case basis and in consultation with the course instructor.
DRC staff will consider the following to determine how assignments relate to the educational experience for the course:
- Course policy regarding due dates
- Possible exceptions to the policy for extenuating circumstances, such as athletics or religious observation.
- Levels of discussion involved. Student contribution/participation requirements for the learning process.
- Assignments connected to group work.
